Logistics Analyst (San José, Costa Rica)
Job Description:
Carries out traffic and logistics functions from the United States to the offices and clients in Central America and the Caribbean Islands. Responsible for preparing export documentation, verifying it, and maintaining records of all export documents.
Responsibilities:
Administrative tasks: Gather and consolidate invoice and warehouse documents in PDF format.
Prepare Export Declarations.
Prepare Shipper Letter of Instructions (SLI).
Send information and coordinate with the freight forwarder to ship products to our customers via air or ocean.
Track shipments until they arrive at their destination.
Update and use systems for various logistical tasks and processes.
Requirements:
1 to 3 years of experience in logistics tasks related to import and export.
Knowledge of Import and Export Regulations of the United States of America.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in international business or a related field (Supply Chain or Logistics).
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish): Fluent in speaking and writing (mandatory).
Availability and willingness to travel occasionally from Costa Rica to the United States five times or more per year is mandatory, as part of the training will be conducted in the United States.
Valid U.S. Visa (mandatory requirement).
Valid B1 driver’s license (mandatory requirement).
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge or experience with SAP.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Hybrid work model: remote on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; on-site on Tuesday and Thursday (Forum 1, Santa Ana).
