Logistics Specialist (San José, Costa Rica)
Job Description:
Manage and coordinate international logistics operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and shipment traceability to guarantee business continuity.
Responsibilities:
Review and update contracts with Freight Forwarders by validating dates, clauses, and addendums to ensure validity and contractual compliance.
Manage cases and requests with the insurance provider using established channels to ensure timely attention and adequate coverage.
Monitor export regulations (U.S. Export Regulations) through continuous updates and training to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience in logistics tasks related to import and export.
Knowledge of Import and Export Regulations of the United States of America.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in international business or a related field (Supply Chain or Logistics).
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish): Fluent in speaking and writing (mandatory).
Availability and willingness to travel occasionally from Costa Rica to the United States three times or more per year is mandatory, as part of the training will be conducted in the United States.
Valid U.S. Visa (mandatory requirement).
- Valid B1 driver’s license (mandatory requirement).
Knowledge or experience with SAP.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Hybrid work model: remote on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; on-site on Tuesday and Thursday (Santa Ana, San José).
